We chose Commonwealth, over all the other facilities we toured, for my “mother-in-love” because Miss Wanda was amazing giving us the tour and making us feel like family. CMSL has a very “at home” feel with activities that keep Mom engaged. She’s so busy we can rarely catch her in her room for a phone chat. The staff is very communicative and keeps us up to date on things. Wanda plans lots of activities that keep the residents happy and engaged. It’s a real blessing. M. Bryant

My best friend, Roycee Bland, moved in last October and is adjusting nicely. I am particularly pleased with the way Latonya, the Patient Care Director, and Cc and Dee, nurses, have gone over and beyond their regular duties to make Bland's new home more enjoyable. I am also pleased with the monthly Family Night dinners and entertainment. Keep up the good work. Eugene W. Johnson, POA for Roycee Bland

A very special THANKS to JuWanda Boone Residence Dir in the Memory Care Unit. I recently placed my dad in this facility & there are no words to express how wonderful JuWanda has been during the entire process (caring, involved, available & excellent patient care) I felt comfortable knowing that he was in good hands & she is the reason I placed him here. Also want to thank Chad Williams Dir of the facility for always being available, explaining the process thoroughly & providing excellent servic

The staff continues to be very helpful in addressing any concerns that I may have. I generally am there when meals are served. There is a varied and good selection of meals. The janitorial staff does a very good job in keeping the facility clean. The maintenance staff is very responsive when repair are requested. There are interesting and informative activities for the residents. The entertainment seems to be a welcome event for the residents,

The staff at Commonwealth Senior Living at Hampton is friendly and helpful. There are many activities arranged to involve the residents and keep them from feeling bored. The resident's family members are invited and encouraged to participate in the group activities. Because I live 500 miles from CSL and my resident Mother, I appreciate the home-like atmosphere of CSL on her behalf. Thank you for being her home away from home. Robin Brundage

Most positive impression I have with Commonwealth is the staff. I am in and out of many assisted living facilities on the peninsula and I'm always looking to see who is willing to interact with me. Virtually everyone I pass or come into contact with at your Topping Lane facility is friendly and willing to help. I've also watched them interact with residents ( in particular Vicky Gooderum) and been very impressed with the warmth and patience exhibited. LKS

My family member has been a resident at CAL-HAMPTON for the last 6 years. The administration and staff are an awesome team. My only problem is not keeping up with the residences belongings. I find myself purchasing material things like socks, and slippers at least once or twice a month. This becomes a problem working with a fixed income. Overhaul what CAL-HAMPTON offers is very impressive for the residents.
