I, as a novice, never before engaged in power training, it was very scary and ashamed to come into the hall for the first time. But now I regret that I spent so much time wasted and did not start studying earlier. I really like it here!

This review is long overdue but not really because I am still within the Crossfit Los Feliz family!I started off with the 6 week challenge that my friend referred to me back in June 2017. My inital goal was to get nice and right for Chicago in August and what perfect way to do that with the 6 week challenge. Luckily, I wasn't alone while doing this challenge, I had 2 other friends that signed up for it and it was a great motivation to work out with them along side with me. Ryan was my coach and I have to say he really pushes you without any pressure and encourages you to be better with yourself physically and mentally. I had no knowledge of what crossfit is and what was the point of it being there if I already had a 24 hour gym membership (I only used it during the summer in the West Hollywood location due to their outside pool to tan). During the 6 week challenge, they send you this Paleo booklet that literally has recipes for 6 weeks that you can do which is AMAZING. I never followed the recipes only bits and bobs of it. They are 3 classes a week and there are set times, if your job fluctuates like mine, then you can definitely ask for different times but they recommend you to stay with one coach. After my 6 week challenge, I lost about 5 lbs, lost 4 % body fat and gained 4 lbs of muscle which was amazing! I definitely could've pushed myself a little bit more but that was definitely my fault for not being on such a strict diet (I cheated at least once or twice a week, including drinking). They also offer you a few different packages and a discounted first month rate but Ryan didn't pressure us at all to sign up for the gym. I only signed my life away to Crossfit Los Feliz on July 22, and I do not regret it at all. Although, I did let myself go after the challenge but thats completely my fault. 2018 will make me be better about my diet and workout routine and habits forsure.5 stars for a great environment of CFLF!Have Fun and Good Luck!!

Thank you Crossfit Los Feliz!!I can only speak for the 6 week challenge. It was so much fun and so challenging! I already work out on a regular basis and was looking for something to push me past the plateau, and this was perfect. It's a great group atmosphere and our coach, Ryan, was always so encouraging and positive!I ended the program losing 11lbs (which was my goal) and since ending the program 3 weeks ago, I've lost an additional 3 pounds. Crossfit introduced me to paleo, which I highly recommend, especially if you're lactose intolerant like I am. If you put 100% into this, you will no doubt see progress.Thank you so much again to everyone at CFLF for all you do, and for helping me push myself towards my goals!

I started at CFLF in March of 2017. I was finishing the World Travel Course with the Sierra Club. The WTC is a ten week class of learning the basics of hiking, camping & backpacking. In week five of class, we went to Joshua Tree & I found my core lacking in strength. Then in the tenth week of class during snow camping, I needed help picking up & putting on my 50+ pound backpack. I could not lift & put on my own bag with all the stuff I needed to live for two & a half days in the snow of the Eastern Sierra Nevadas. I also suffered from knee pain after a long days hike. I needed help.I came across Masters Six Week Challenge at CrossFit Los Feliz and I made an appointment to meet Guy La Bruscuiano. He asked me to squat, do as many push-ups as possible & gomukhasana. I failed all three. I also met Eric Phillips, the trainer, who taught the class. This six week class was outstanding. All the participants were over 40 and most of us had aches, pains & old injuries we nurse. Eric is great at learning & remembering each person's limitations. In turn he does an exceptional job of pushing you to your edge and beyond. CrossFit Los Feliz is a super supportive and nonjudgmental  gym.    As a Reiki Master, I am learning to connect with my breathe,  moving my body correctly & grounding myself. I am learning to correct years of misalignment. I am reprogramming my body to move correctly. Each week I show up for two strength class, one turbo training class & a mobility class. I enjoy feeling the growth & strength in my legs each day. I can now pick up & put on  my own backpack & it is not 50+ pounds.

I loved my experience with CFLF! Started with the 6 week challenge with Coach Steven and it truly changed my lifestyle. I saw a noticeable change in just 6 weeks and was motivated to continue with the turbo classes.Coaches are super supportive and encouraging. I always felt like the rest of the class was motivated to give it 100% which pushed me to my max effort too. Keep up the great work guys!

Before Crossfit Los Feliz, I was working with a few personal trainers. With them, I felt there was no attention to form. I was always scared of getting hurt lifting weights. I am so glad I found a Crossfit Los Feliz. All of the trainers make technique the priority so we don't get injured. They take the time to teach you the foundations before you start high intensity. I have been at Crossfit Los Feliz with my wife for almost a year and a half now. I love the safe and fast paced environment. The coaches also helped me with my flexibility and mobility. I swear to you, my entire posture and back feel better than ever. I was in a major car accident that injured my back. Now, I finally feel like I'm walking correctly due to the exercises I do at there. Lastly the thing that keeps me going back are the trainers. Honestly, most trainers have those motivational lines and try to push you but few care so much as to correct your form and show you things to help you even after the class is over. Steven is my trainer and honestly probably the most inspirational guy I've met. When I first started I really didn't want to keep going because it was so hard. Steven taught me to focus on becoming my best. He makes me believe I can do anything and now I don't even care what the workout is I just show up ready! I can go on all day about my results. I lost 25lbs and am stronger than ever. I just squatted 245lbs for multiple reps! etc etc but to actually know what I'm talking about, you should come in and check it out!

I freaking love Crossfit Los Feliz. I started out in their 6 week challenge at the beginning of the year and when it was over I felt GREAT (physically and mentally), I was stronger, and I was fitting into clothes I hadn't worn in a while which was a definite plus. Huge shout out and thanks to my coaches Bella and Ryan for teaching us your ways and making it so much fun even though I was dying by the end of every class! I decided to continue with them and learned very quickly that the rest of the coaches and the regular members are extremely supportive, fun, and BADASS AF. They always keep classes interesting by giving us a great variety of workouts and in addition to Crossfit focused classes, they also have an amazing cardio/resistance based class called Turbo, and strength training classes (I especially love this one. I never knew how much I could love lifting weights). There's even an app to help you keep track of your progress! Also, don't be afraid to talk to their team about your concerns if you have any. I've learned that they can be very helpful. CFLF is a judgment-free, safe place and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a solid gym to do WERK.

I've only been going for 2 months and started with the 6-week challenge. The place has changed my life for the better. I never thought I would feel comfortable going to crossfit but the instructors are all so caring and take the time to make sure you're going to get results and prevent injury. It is certainly a financial investment but one I am very happy I made. Also, Ryan is the best.

I started 6 weeks ago with the 6 week boxing challenge and tomorrow is my last day. ( I'm sad) This has been a challenging step for me and an amazing 6 weeks. I have not worked out in 10 years, I turned 52 this year and I took some time off to concentrate on my health. I figured a regular gym was not going to do anything for me. So I took their 6 week Boxing challenge to jump start my workout regiment and not only did it jump start it but it has inspired me. I met a great bunch people who have the same motivation as I. Our coach/mentor/nutritionist/trainer Ruben Martin is one hell of a coach. Yes it is a cross fit gym but Ruben brought a boxing flare to his teachings and it has motivated me to keep going.I know 6 weeks is not long enough but I am coming back! If you want to jump start a healthy lifestyle then Do this!! Hit up Ruben and take his class it'll be a game changer...life changer... and I want to thank Ruben Martin for doing so in my life! The staff also have been warm and encouraging... this place was my crossroads and now it has ignited me to be more healthy and fit! I do have a long way to go  but I know Ruben and the staff here have put me on a course that is going to be amazing journey to my goals Can't thank you enough!

I haven't been going to this Crossfit gym for long, but I have to say I am really enjoying it so far.  I have been to several different crossfit gyms in the area, and have been an avid "crossfitter," whatever that means, since 2013.  I like their emphasis to get to know your body better with the one-on-one sessions, before jumping right into the group classes.  Even though I have been doing these exercises for years, Steve was able to point out corrections in my form that would prevent me from getting hurt in the future.Obviously, not everyone can afford one-on-one sessions, but personally, I see why they are worth it.
