The Brothers That Just Do Gutters

The Brothers that just do Gutters was founded in 1999 by brothers Ken and Ryan Parsons. “Since ‘The Brothers’ are my sons,” said Ken Sr., “I have been fortunate to be a part of this company from the very beginning.” The Brothers that just do Gutters are the fourth generation of family embracing the construction industry. Ken Sr. has been in construction for more than 40 Years. After completing his second year of college he went to work for Tylo Roofing, a subsidiary of Reynolds Aluminum. After three weeks of working for them he decided to put an ad in the local paper and became Parsons Roofing. From there, a customer wanted to know if he could build them a deck so he headed to the lumberyard where his father worked. After purchasing a book on how to build decks, Ken Sr. built his first deck and progressed his business using this same format of research, figure it out, and then do it. “I went from roofing, to siding, to taping and painting, to framing, to remodeling, to setting and finishing modular houses, all the way to doing speculation houses,” said Ken Sr. The brothers were part of their dad’s work and business at very early ages. Ken Sr. worked the brothers hard in rain, sleet, blizzards, and blazing sun and he says they were happy just looking forward to getting a drink and wedge of their choice. Ken Sr. made the brothers aware of the hard work that was involved in the construction business. Ken Sr. told them they had basically two choices on entering the work force: (1) Do something you would love to do for the rest of your life or (2) Do something that will make you enough money to do the things you love to do. The Brothers started out doing what they believed they wanted to do. Ken loved History and so became a history teacher, and Ryan loved art and became a graphic designer. Eventually the brothers took a different road and “The Brothers that just do Gutters” was born. They both realized they loved the business world and found their niche in being a one of a kind gutter business. Ken Sr. has been with them as Dad, consultant, exhorter, and confidant throughout their journey. Finally after years of meticulously collecting all the data, and pieces necessary to become a franchise they were ready to launch The Brothers that just do Gutters Franchise. Ken Sr. is eager to institute The Brothers that just do Gutters proven system in the surrounding neighborhoods of Richmond. This is a system that has already made the parent company (NY) a huge success in providing a one-of-a-king five-star service in the gutter industry. The brothers competitive edge comes from their unique and fun name, customer service awards, and investment in technology, systems and our employees.

Very positive. The process starting with obtaining an estimate to scheduling and completing the work was very easy. The individuals who did the work showed up on time and were very helpful in explaining what they were going to do. This is the second time I have used "Brothers" and I am pleased with their response and work product.
