I absolutely love the idea of the community having access to providers who take insurance. I was in need of therapy to combat a great loss and called to set up an appointment. The intake department listened to my needs and partnered me with the best therapist I've ever been to - Matt Markell. He provided me the tools I needed to love myself and push out the negativity. It was a collaborative effort and he encouraged me to work on myself outside of therapy - something that I believe is important to improving yourself. The front desk staff is courteous and professional; making me feel at ease before my therapy session. The offices are decorated nicely and lobbies are inviting. I never once had any issues with payment, insurance or inaccurate scheduling. I received email reminders of my appointments and always paid my copayment at session time. Hands down this is the best place to go if you are looking for a therapist.

As an Advanced Registered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Monty Owens is exceptionally extraordinary in her field of practice.Monty Owens, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, demonstrates being exceptional through her abilities to interpret, assess, and, in absolute accordance, prescribe as well as to manage all psychiatric-based medications. Where being an extraordinarily intuitive psychiatric mental health provider is of valuable necessity, "Monty" radiates confidence as well as accuracy in overall prescribing. Where internal as well as psychiatric medications combined are of absolute relevance to a patient, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Monty Owens applies pharmaceutical knowledge to appropriate drug interactions upon prescribing. In following and evaluating a patient's mental health status, "Monty," as deemed necessary, will, with genuine care, adjust psychiatric medications to acquire enhanced balance for the patient. To supplement prior or current clinical assessments, Monty Owens, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, presents a most unique quality to her practice, which is listening as well as conversationally interacting with the patient. Utilizing such a genuine and personalized approach, while maintaining absolute professionalism, through her natural projection of sensitivity, empathy, compassion and care, "Monty" is able to be insightful as well as supportively therapeutic. I, Gary Willhite, a Washington State DSHS Certified Home Care Aid, fully attest to my client's mental health stability through Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Monty Owens' care. Of professionally determined necessity, I accompany my client at as well as throughout his appointments. Over my client's past three years of seeing "Monty," he has shown enhanced presentation as well as increased engagement. When my client either suffers from or experiences declines, "Monty" listens, inquires, and then applies overall expertise in possible medication adjustments as well as towards practical alterations that bring a return to his sense of regaining a better balance towards mental stability.

Monty Owens and Jeff Roth. Hands down my most favorite and best providers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Monty is fantastic. I think like we've formed a great healthcare provider and patient relationship. I also feel strongly that she is genuinely invested in my health and psychological well-being. I always enjoy and look forward to my sessions with her as she and I seem to share a similiar sense of humor and really connect well. She's always been careful to thoroughly assess my psychological status before making an educated medical decision as to what medications I need to be on, whether or not to adjust the dosage of a medication and how the ones I am currently taking are affecting me. At this point in time I would not care to look for another healthcare provider and would highly, highly recommend her to anyone seeking care that she specializes in.Jeff Roth is my most cherished therapist I've ever had. He's funny, relatable, a great conversationalist, energetic and always pleasant. My sessions with him are always ones I look forward to as well. I never know where our conversations are going to go, but they're always fun, interesting and eye opening. He's a well of knowledge in many subjects and aspects and a great devil's advocate. I really appreciate his encouragement and like that he pushes me to better myself and take small steps to bigger and better goals. I always leave my sessions with Jeff feeling refreshed, energized and motivated to achieve my goals. I've had many psychological or therapeutic health care providers and I would NEVER recommend them as highly as I would Monty and Jeff. I feel cared for here and feel like my opinion in the treatment I receive matters, is valued and respected. I love Mindful Therapy and if it makes a difference I feel strongly that Monty and Jeff receive significant pay raises or a nice, well-deserved vacation. Thank you so much Monty and Jeff.

I am a provider in the area and I really value having this group as a resource. They have such a wide range of specialties and provider types it is easy to make referrals for any specialization my client's require. The intake team returns my calls quickly and are always really open and knowledgeable about insurance and availability. With other groups and clinics you have to call multiple times, and leave a voicemails and sometimes never get a call back. I feel so lucky to have this group as a resource as it can be difficult to find providers who take insurance and are accepting clients in the Seattle area. You can really sense their dedication to the community and their eagerness to provide support.

This place is unlike any other practice I've heard of. They're very transparent about billing processes and general policies. It's refreshing to see a company who is so upfront about what they can and cannot do. They've answered all of my billing questions without a sugar coating, so I know what to expect if anything comes back. The Administrative Assistants are very professional and friendly. I've seen them checking in 8 clients at once, while phones are ringing, with poise and calmness. I will be recommending this place.

Super easy to sign up and make appointments and has really helped me with loss and my general anxiety. You pay every time upfront so there's no confusing bills you get weeks later and you're always caught up. Some of the providers have Saturday appointments and late hours

Paula Hooton has been compassionate, thoughtful, and patient in helping me work through my relationship issues over the past year.  It has been invaluable to have a non-judgmental and insightful confidante to help put your problems into manageable terms, and she has provided that help to me without fail. The staff at Mindful Therapy Group have been helpful, courteous, and kind during that time as well.  The relaxing atmosphere of the waiting room and private offices feels calming and appropriate, and the Mountlake Terrace location (at least) is easy to get to from the freeway, and has ample parking.

I have been receiving clinical supervision from Derek Crain for the past three months, and, risking hyperbole, I cannot imagine building my own practice without his guidance.  I am not new to clinical work; after years of community mental health and martyring myself in various institutions, I am finally in a position to slow down, hone my therapeutic skills, and practice mindfulness both in session with clients and in building my own business. After so many years of scarcity ruling my professional life, I am finally channeling abundance and learning to value myself and my time as a woman in business. With the help of his coaching, I am assembling the framework for a thriving and most ethical practice.  There's a rawness to this work that demands vigilant integrity in order to remain true to my person and my clients, and most importantly, in order to continue growing as a clinician.  Derek's unapologetically straightforward, confident, and authentic approach has modeled for me new ways of holding myself and my clients accountable, as well as building healthy relationships with my colleagues.  A therapist, I believe, is both reliably open arms and a gentle mirror; a supervisor, then, is no different. Derek's support has aided me profusely in sharpening my own clinical intuition.  I am pushed to show up honestly as much as I am reminded to hold my self-compassion. Such praxis has positively impacted every part of my own life since I've begun this process, and in particular, my relationships; gratitude would be an understatement. I am constantly reminded of the maxim that we are all works in progress, much as we communicate the same to our clients; why then, would we not seek out constructive and intentional growth ourselves? I look forward to working with and learning from Derek each week for much time to come.  Furthermore, I recommend such direction and leadership to any provider, regardless of previous experience.
