I've been seeing Thomas a number of years, recently returning for worsening shoulder and back tightness. Thomas has been able to sort through the complex set of muscular dependencies that have created the issue, helping find the root cause and establishing a more focused treatment and strengthening plan.

Thomas is amazing! Despite several month of physical therapy, my nerve pain was worsening. The pain was affecting my daily life and so I went to see Thomas. WOW! After one session, my pain was nearly gone. I nearly cried with relief! I can't express my gratitude enough. Being in the medical profession, I'm quite particular about the professionals I work with. Thomas combines an incredible knowledge of anatomy and physiology with uncanny intuition and insight. He can help nearly anyone!

Thomas has a truly astonishing set of healing skills and an amazing depth of knowledge. He has helped me immensely with complex and stubborn issues involving my back and pelvic floor. He has also provided emotional support throughout my treatment that I can not begin to express how much I appreciate. He's not only talented but compassionate and wise. Truly unique!

As a bodyworker, I am particularly picky when it comes to choosing a clinician for myself. I first got to know Thomas as an instrcutor of NKT and PDTR. I immediately was able to recognize that his level of skill and comprehension was exceptional. He is also clearly passionate about what he does. I felt extremely confident in Thomas' abilities when I decided to see him as a client. My first session with Thomas was a great experience. His over-all demeanor was very calming and grounding and made me feel very secure, which is a crucial element. I experienced an improvement in my breathing, increased thoracic rotation, decreased spinal compression, and some pretty profound emotional clearings as well. I enthusiastically look forward to future sessions.

When I came to Thomas my elbow was in so much pain I no longer slept and could barely use my arm. I had already tried other solutions including cortisone shots. It has been 3 years and my elbow is awesome, I have no pain, and full use! I still see Thomas every 4-6 weeks, he is an integral part of my overall wellness. I am not sure I will ever stop seeing him! Thanks Thomas as you know we think you are AMAZING!

Thomas was recommended to me by several of my friends who had gone to him for various reasons. I came to Thomas because my shoulder and hip were giving me great pain and multiple functional issues. I have been seeing Thomas on and off for about 2 years now - and the difference he has made for me is beyond any words I could write! I've had both rotator cuff and a hip surgery (a labral tear) that while successful, present functional movement/pain issues for me. I have become a lover of lifting weights and training with a personal trainer, and the work that Thomas does has allowed me to be able to move forward in that area of my life. Thomas is a genius at what he does - and I love that his passion for what he does is so obvious! I can't exactly explain what "it" is that he does, but it WORKS. If you have "tried everything" and still have pain and feel like nothing will work - then you obviously haven't tried "everything" . I highly recommend that you see Thomas Wells - The Body Mechanic - he is a master at what he does. I cannot express my gratitude to him and I give him my highest recommendation.

I'm an athlete who has scar tissue on various injuries I've accumulated through the years, and as a result have needed rehabilitative and deep tissue work done. Few people I've found are strong enough to do that kind of work well, but Thomas is an exception to the rule. He has helped me correct some problems that I've been living with for nearly 20 years in some cases. Thomas is a genius at what he does, and after working with him for a few months now I can't imagine anyone he couldn't help. It's kind of hard to explain what he does because it isn't like sports massage therapy, nor is it exactly like physical therapy...it's kind of a hybrid yet not like any of those. I originally went to him with a variety of problems, ranging from knee issues to neck problems. In my last 3 sessions with him, he has completely transformed my body and helped to alleviate pain I honestly thought I'd be living with for the rest of my life. We had to break down a bunch of scar tissue to do it and the results were immediate and floored me. I am actually walking better now as a result of the work he did! Mind you that some of these injuries were the results of 12 years of martial arts sparring and 25+ years of running and biking around Santa Rosa and Sonoma County.. As far as the work itself, he's been using a variety of techniques including Active Release Techniques (aka Active Release Therapy), Bowen Therapy, and a few others to get these results. Thomas is like a mad scientist whose passion is the human body and his skills are obvious once he starts working on you. I would highly recommend Thomas to anyone who has any type of pain, movement restriction, or other physical ailments. He is a master of his craft and I appreciate his expertise.

I had 4-5 months of progressively worsening shoulder pain. I didn't want to go back to physical therapy so I looked for someone with a different approach. 1 session yielded 80% improvement. 2 sessions 95% improvement. A few sessions later my shoulder and a few other things were 100% and pain free. If you add up the cost of visiting Thomas vs. the cost of co-pays and many more sessions visiting a PT, I'm certain it is always worth it to go visit Thomas instead. For any sort of pain or dysfunction there is nobody else that I see first.
