LaSalette Restaurant

LaSalette Restaurant is the realization of Chef Manuel Azevedo’s dream to champion Portuguese cuisine throughout the United States and beyond. His dream was born at an early age when he would assist his mother, the restaurant’s namesake, prepare recipes from their former home in the Azores Islands. It has been more than a decade since LaSalette welcomed its first diners, and the LaSalette family continues to invite you to join them in their second decade of proudly sharing Chef Azevedo’s interpretation of modern Portuguese cuisine. - See more at: http://www.lasalette-restaurant.com/azevedo-family.html#sthash.QRgnWBSz.dpuf

UPDATE 01.2017 - Came back to Sonoma this year and was so excited to visit this restaurant again. Unfortunately, they changed their menu. They now have all the dishes listed out on their menu and charge either $55 for a 3 course meal or $85 for a 5 course meal. Since today was the first day they were launching the new menu, each course took very long to come out. The bacalhau came out very dry, the cozido was bland, and the São Jorge dessert I would have preferred as an appetizer (two slices of cheese and a small cookie with a sort of jam in the middle). The wild mushroom and the bife had great flavors. The service was great and they even comped one of our 3 course meals to apologize for the wait. We come to Sonoma once a year- hopefully we will see more of their old menu next year. 01.2016 - Great ambiance, great food, great service. The buttery escargot was delicious and the arroz de camarão was full of flavor. Portions are small but satisfying (no giant chain restaurant portions that you never finish). Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

After being in Portugal this summer, this restaurant brought me back with its incredible food. My mom and I started with the foie gras, then she got Portuguese fisherman's stew, and I the special of the night - grilled whole branzino. The fish was cooked & seasoned perfectly with crisp, flaky crust, served atop fingerling potatoes and tomatoes. The flavors of all the dishes were excellent. The staff was friendly and prompt, checking in on us the right amount and quick to accommodate us. We will eat here again next time we're in Sonoma!

Had a wonderful meal here. Sonoma has lots of great restaurants to offer. I have to put this in one of my top choices. It's nice having something a little different and they definitely bring some unique but yet delectable Portuguese dishes

DELICIOUS. My bacalhau no forno was the best I ever had. Heirloom tomato salad with micro greens was really tasty too.

Warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service. Dinner was delicious and a good value. We brought a bottle of wine and was not charged a corkage fee because we bought a bottle from menu. I thought this fair.

Wonderful Portuguese cuisine with a nice wine selection. Especially good for seafood lovers, although there are other options as well. One of the more unique restaurants in Sonoma; we take visitors here often.

A little on the pricey side, but good food and service. The wet portugese sandwhich and paella were both quite good.

Was a perfectly delicious meal. Food amazing, service on patio slow, but overall a worthwhile dinner. The wine selection is nice. A mixture of Portuguese and local wines. The flights are a good bargain and a great way to try a few different ones. Food - you must get the scallops, asparagus salad and pork belly. We did a sampling of the starters and were very pleased with ourselves.

What a nice dining room with old-school elegance - beautiful table settings. The menu is Portuguese, a cuisine that we weren't very familiar with, but enjoyed everything we ordered. Loved the fact that we could order a 5-item tasting plate, so we could try new things. We also had a the Portuguese wine flights, red for him, white for me. An extra amuse bouche and the dinner finished with a handmade truffle. We felt very special dining here.
